GIRARD - Charles L. Meuser, 81, passed away on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center, after a long illness.
Charles was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Youngstown, the son of Walter and Jeanette (Spatholt) Meuser.
Charles was a 1953 graduate of Girard High School, and went on to graduate from Westminster College. He had worked for 33 years as a customer service representative for General Fireproofing, retiring in 1992.
Charles was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ohio National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Beverly Forsythe; his sisters-in-law, Beverly Baker Forsythe and Ruth Ann Forsythe; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Blackstone Funeral Home, with Pastor Rhonda Gallagher officiating.
Charles was laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
