B.C. Death Cert. Reg. # 1949-09-006989 as "Kathrina Margaret Schmunk" father's name as "Huba".

Edit contributor #48774114 Cheri----
Daughter of Johann "Peter" Huwa and Elizabeth Martgertha (nee Dietz, father's name was Georg Frederich Andreas) / Huwa a/k/a "Huva"

Katherina married December 1888 in Russia to Johann "John" Georg Schmunk.
They were blessed with 14 children per John's obituary. Known children are; Susanna, Henry, Herman, Mary, Lydia, Jacob, Emilie, Martha, Hilda, William, John Jr. and Freida.

Katherina is my Great Grandmother's sister, Mary Elizabeth (Huwa) Rutz Schott

Mary and Katherina were both brought to the United States by their husbands about the same time; 1907-1908. I have Grandma's German Bible and it appears their parents past away in and were Germans from the Volga River area in Russia and did not make the journey. Their other siblings were born in the 1840's; Eva, Johann 'Heinrich' and Johann 'Christopher' and it is unclear what happened to them.
