- Louis M. Griffey, 55, Odessa, Mo. died yesterday at Odessa after an illness of a year. He was born in Ray County, Mo. and had lived in Lafayette County thirty-two years. Mr. Griffey was a farmer near Odessa and was employed at the Lake City arsenal during World War II. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Goldie Griffey of the home; two sons C. W. Griffey and Loyd M. Griffey and two daughters Mrs. Betty Murry and Mrs Jack Ehlert, all of Odessa; his mother, Mrs. M. M. Griffey, Excelsior Springs; three brothers Virgil Griffey, Chilhowee,Mo., C. H. Griffey, Warrensburg, Mo., and Floyd Griffey, Kearney, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. C. C. O`Dell, Harrionsville, Mrs. O. R. Martin, 116 West Forty-Fifth, and Mrs. George Pinson, Lone Jack; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the New Garden Primitive Baptist Church near Excelsior Springs. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
