MARYSVILLE - Helen L Ceglarek, 76, of Marysville, died December 25, 2003 in Port Huron Hospital due to complications from an auto accident. She was born on February 24, 1927 in Port Huron and was a life long resident. She married Donald J. Ceglarek on May 10, 1946 in Port Huron.

Helen was employed as a telephone operator by Michigan Bell. She was a long time member of St. Stephen Church and served as a sacristan. She was also a past member of St. Anne's Altar Society. Helen loved to crochet and knit and go on drives with her life partner, Don.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald J. Ceglarek, Marysville; son, Ralph E. (Nancy) Ceglarek, Marysville; daughter, Jeanne M. (Denny) Nalepa, Port Huron; son, Ronald J. (Ursula) Ceglarek, Kimball; son Richard A. (Mary Jane) Ceglarek, Orange City, FL; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Tom) Kennedy, Port Huron; sister, Barbara Becktold, Marysville; sister-in-law, Dorothy Howard, Marysville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Howard and her brothers, Francis, Charles, Robert and Ralph Howard.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday in St. Stephen Church. The Rev. David J. Lesniak, Pastor will officiate. Pallbearers will be Adam Ceglarek, Jeff Baker, U.S.N., David Howard, Tom Kennedy, Barb Becktold and Chris Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed and James Howard. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 8 p.m Sunday in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home.
