John Hintermeister, foreman at the Beadle County sanitarium, died about 10:23 o’clock last night at his home after being ill for several weeks.
Mr. Hintermeister was born in Rock Island, IL, February 1, 1879 and was married to Etta Burgoyne February 21, 1906. He lived in Iowa for five years becoming to Beadle County, SD. They settled on a farm eight miles southwest of Huron and lived there until he became foreman at the county sanitarium about two and a half years ago. He is survived by his widow and one son, Sam Hintermeister, Slayton, MN, one daughter, Viva Hintermeister at hone; two brothers, Albert Hintermeister, Slayton, MN , Gus Hintermeister, Preemption, IL, five sisters, Mrs. John Lowe, Preemption, IL, Mrs. Fred Miller, Tyler Ridge, IL Mrs. Clyde Moffitt, Biggsville, IL, Mrs. Les Martin and Mrs. Merton Armstrong, Heana Sask, Canada.
Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Episcopal church at 10 o’clock, Wednesday morning. Dr. Charles E. Wilcox will be in charge. After the service the body will be taken to Slayton for burial.
