A prominent building contractor and long-time resident of Brighton who came to the United States from Italy in his early teens, Mr. Capobianco died at St. Elizabeth's Hospital after a short illness. Among the many churches and schools constructed by John Capobianco Inc.were College Hall at Regis College, St. Brendan's Church in Dorchester, St. Brigid's Church in South Boston and Sacred Heart Church in Milford. He was a director of the Home for Italian Children, a member of the Men's Council of the Don Orione Home, Knight's of Columbus, Sons of Italy and the Italian Charitable Organization. A solemn Requiem Mass was held at St. Ignatius Church in Chestnut Hil on May 3rd, with burial following.
