Nodaway Democrat, Maryville, Mo. 11-11-1875: Henry Toel, Esq., and wife, lost on last Sunday night a bright and promising girl aged seven years. She was the darling of the household, but has been called early in life from the fond embrace of parents here to enjoy the presence of him who said: "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven."

Nellie Toel - I also reviewed the 1870 census, before I looked at your notes, and concluded that the daughter who died in 1875 is Nellie, not Nettie. There is a faint cross at the top of the "tt" for Nettie that is not there for Nellie. Nellie was recently added to Familysearch GZJV-TJJ citing the 1870 census so another researcher came to the same conclusion. The History of Nodaway County Pub 1882 has a short biography of Henry Toel it says 8 of 10 children are living. Nettie and 7 others are listed by name. Deceased children are not named unfortunately. [First name of deceased originally entered here as Nettie but changed to Nellie per foregoing update].
