Johnny Dale"J.D."Barker, 41, of Edinburgh, passed February 18, 2017, in Pendleton. He was born Oct. 28, 1975, in Galveston, Texas. He was the son of Johnie M. and Freida(Luttrell)Barker. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Debby Barker of Edinburgh; brothers, Johnnie A. Barker of Hope, Larry Barker of Huntsville, Texas; half-brother, Loren Powers of Texas; and step-brother, Jeremy Betz of Jasper; sisters, Jennifer Hommel (Cameron) Greenwood of Sheridan, Johnna Banki of Edinburgh, Kim(Shannon)McMahon of Edinburgh, Lisa Barker of Indianapolis, Trish Hernandez of Texas and Amanda(Nathan)Goen of Edinburgh; and a stepsister, Tonya Price of Indianapolis; best friend, Chad Heagy of Franklin; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. He was a member of the Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. He was baptized in the name of Jesus in July 2008. He enjoyed fishing, dirt bike riding, instigating mischief and his dogs, Vic and Sydney. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, by the Revs. Mark Myers and Nathan Goen at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the church and from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
