Howard Buxton performed the ceremony before a background of candelabra and vases of pastel chrysanthemums. Ferns and palms completed the decorations. The bride's dress of ivory satin was made on princess lines with a full court train and long tight sleeves and was trimmed with insets of Chantilly lace. Her fingertip length veil was of illusion net and she wore a strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom. Miss Doris Luckens, her sister's maid of honor, was attired in a gown of pink satin and net and she carried a bouquet of pastel flowers. The reception at the home of the bride followed the ceremony.
