Rose Galllart was born in Kansas, a daughter of Anthony Joseph (Antonin) Schraeder 1865–1909 and Karolina Ann "Carrie" Stohr 1870–1947, both immigrants from Germany. She had siblings Anna 1888–1888, Edith Amollia 1891–1938, Maria Caroline 1896–1995, William Robert 1898–1958, Alouise Ann "Lou" 1898–1950 and Frank Anthony 1900–1979.

Her family lived in Rush Center and Lincoln, Kansas and were farmers.

Rose married Edward M. Matoush 1883–1946 in 1907. They had children Grace Irene 1908–1985, Velma Mae "Wilma" 1911–2008 and Evelyn M. 1925–?.

The family lived in Lincoln, Kansas and were farmers.

She had a second marriage to widower Adam Galliart 1886–1960 in 1947. Both of their spouses had died in 1946. Adam was a farmer in Logan, Kansas with four children.

Adam died in 1960 and In 1965 Rose moved to North Las Vegas, Nevada to be near her daughters. She died suddenly April 3, 1983 of a heart attack.

Survivors included her sister, Marie C. Ott, Wichita; three daughters: Grace Bolm of home in Las Vegas, Velma Baker, Sun City, Ariz., and Evelyn Slaughter, Las Vegas; two grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
