Brenda Carol Shavers age 67 of Bridgeport passed away Saturday December 17. She is survived by her husband, George “Johnny” Shavers; mother, Frances Owens; son, George “Tooter” (Margie) Shavers Jr.; daughter, Robin (James) Sampley; grandchildren, Amanda (Lawrence) Cooke, Callie (Justin) Smart, Shelby Shavers, Tiffany (Mitchell) Mabe, Whitney Sampley, Mady Sampley, Gunner Sampley, and Belle Kirk; six great grandchildren; sisters, Deborah (Ronald) Owen, and Gail Thomas; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her father, Richard Bill (Dick) Owens. Visitation will be Monday from 12-8 and the funeral will be 2 PM Tuesday December 20, 2016 from the Valley Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson. Burial will be in the Mt Carmel Cemetery with Joel Shifflet and Randy Evans officiating.
