ABEL ROBERT LA MAR of Hercules died April 20, 2001 in San Pablo. The Idaho Falls, Idaho native was 50. Loving husband of Ellen J. Abel of Hercules. Father of Mark R. Abel of Pleasanton and Brett S. Abel of Hercules. Bob was the Northern California Regional Asset Protection Manager for Jack in the Box for 3 years. He was a retired sergeant of the Emeryville Police Department after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Emeryville Police Department after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Retired Peace Officers Association of California, Municipal Motorcycle Officer of California, and current president of the Chief Special Agents Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, cooking and his new motorcycle. Friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Friday, April 27, 2001, at 7:00 PM at the Benicia Clock Tower, 1189 Washington Street in Benicia.
