She was baptized in her infancy, after having been duly instructed in the word of God and the doctrine of the Lutheran church, she was confirmed June 11, 1916, in the Lutheran church at Dorrance and became a communicant member of Zion's congregation.
December 22, 1920, she was married to Mr. Alexander Stoppel. This happy union lasted only a little over ten months when she and their son died of complications at the Wilson Hospital.
She was 21 years, 3 months, and 14 days; leaving to mourn her early departure her husband, her father and mother, one brother and three sisters. Her funeral was conducted from the Lutheran church, Rev. H. A. Kolm of Stickney, Kansas, officiating.
