Edna Luedtke, 93, of Creston, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Countryside Home in Madison, Nebraska.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 21, 10:30 A.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Creston with Rev. Jim Ernst officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Creston. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. at the church with a family prayer service at 10:15 A.M.

Edna was born June 3, 1923, in rural Creston, Nebraska, to William and Ida (Brauner) Oeltjen. She attended District 78 school and graduated from Creston High School in 1940. On October 7, 1951, Edna was united in marriage to Ralph Luedtke in Creston. They farmed south of Creston where Edna helped on the farm. Edna was a cook at local schools in Leigh and Creston, She also cooked at Club 81 and the Cedar Inn. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she played the organ for 50 years.
