John J. Kaiser, 83, of Whitehall, passed away July 6, 2008, in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Martin and Mary (Mueller) Kaiser. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, Whitehall. John was employed by Lehigh Structural Steel for many years. He served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the American Campaign Metal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Metal with a bronze star, the World War II Victory Metal and a Good Conduct Metal. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors: Nephew, John J. Kaiser of Whitehall; nieces, Nancy Buckno of Whitehall, Frances, wife of Paul Miller of The Villages, Florida. John was predeceased by brothers, Francis and Martin, and a sister, Margaret.
Services: A Viewing will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 10, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, both at Weber Funeral Home P.C., 502 Ridge Ave., Allentown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeths CatholicChurch, 618 Fullerton Ave., Whitehall.
