Eisenhower, Earl D. Jr.
Earl Eisenhower passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, in Scottsdale, Arizona. Earl is son of Kathryn and Earl Eisenhower, Sr. and the nephew of President Dwight Eisenhower. Earl, Sr. and the President were brothers. Earl, Jr. came to Arizona after Senator Barry Goldwater's Presidential campaign and resided here ever since. Earl had an interesting career in Arizona starting out as a member of the Management System Section of Motorola's Aerospace Center. He was a pre-law student at Penn State before enlisting in the Army where he was assigned to the Army Security Agency. While there Earl attended the Presidio in Monterey, California studying Russian. After Monterey the Army sent him to Germany. Following a three year Army career Earl attended Georgetown University at the Foreign Office School. Earl worked for Senator Barry Goldwater in many positions, Staff Director of the Senate Committee on Intelligence, Press Secretary to the Senator and speech writer.
Earl is survived by his wife, Judy; son, Barry; grandson, Scott; sister, Kaye Morgan and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 3rd at 11:00AM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E Indian School Rd, Scottsdale 85251
