KUSH--Mrs. Kush Dies; Funeral Services on Tuesday
Mrs. Josephine Kush, 73, Columbus, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s hospital after a lingering illness. She was a resident of Columbus for the past 50 years.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic church with the Rev. Fr. Roch Heittinger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. today at the Gahen Funeral home where the body is lying in state.
Mrs. Kush, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Borowiak, was born Nov. 27, 1880 at Duncan and attended school there. She married Thomas N. Kush on Oct. 3, 1900 at Duncan. They farmed southeast of Genoa until 1904 when they moved to Columbus to make their home. Mr. Kush died here May 26, 1944.
Mrs. Kush was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Isabelle) Hintz of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Andy (Alphonsa) Bruns of Columbus and Mrs. B.J. (Genevieve) Pereria of San Diego, Calif.; one son, Thomas of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. P. J. Sokol of Duncan; a stepsister, Miss Kate Rosno of Columbus; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, one sister, Mrs. Proxida Bendowski, and step-brother Jake Rosno.
