MR. J. F. SCHOLL
Mr. John Frederick Scholl who
died recently at the age of 68
years, was born at Jondaryan. He
was the fourth son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. John Henry Scholl, of
Gatton. He attended the Mt.
Whitestone School. At the age of
25 years he married Miss Ernes-
tine Wilhelmina Kitzelmann, at
the Gatton Church of England.
They moved to Mt. Sylvia, where
the late Mr. Scholl was engaged in
farming and carting produce with
waggon and horse team. In 1918,
with his wife and family, he moved
to the Fassifern district. He at-
tended St. John's Lutheran
Church at Aratula. He was an es-
teemed resident of the district for

on land purchased for him by his
father, on the Wienholt Estate.
Two-and-a-half years ago he re-
tired and moved to Woodend, Ips-
wich. Mr. Scholl was in ill-health
for the last eight months. He was
the father of eight children. He is
survived by his widow, four sons,
and three daughters-Messrs. C.
H. Scholl (Tarome), F. J. Scholl
(Kingaroy), P. A. Scholl (Tarome),
W. C. Scholl (Aratula), Mesdames
E. R. Wass (Rosewood), E. L.
Nuhn (Kalbar), and Miss Wini-
fred Scholl (Ipswich). He is also
survived by 16 grandchildren. The
funeral took place at the Ipswich
Cemetery, Pastor F. Finger of-
ficiated.
