Mrs. Naomi C. Carson, 85, of Garfield Street, Waynesboro, PA, widow of Albert B. Carson, Sr., died at 1:17 p.m. Tuesday in the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, MD. She had been in failing health since suffering a stroke in 1977 and had been critically ill since Sunday.

Born in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late John W. Sr. and Martha (Sheldon) Fitz. She lived all her life in the Waynesboro area and had lived at the present residence for the past 12 years.

Her husband died Jan. 21 1946.

Mrs. Carson had been employed by the Waynesboro Knitting Mill as a supervisor for more than 30 years, retiring in 1971.

She was a member of the Church of the Apostles.

She also was a member of the National AARP.
