Lydia Jane Sutton, 92 of Wadsworth, Ohio and formerly of Findlay passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Jane was born in McKeesport, PA on March 26, 1925 to the late Raymond and Lydia (Gorring) Uhlig. She married James H. Sutton in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1990. Jane is survived by her daughter, Diane (Richard) Druesedow of Sharon Center, Ohio, two granddaughters; Anne Druesedow and Elizabeth Druesedow, and a sister-in-law Gloria Uhlig. She was preceded in death by her brother Raymond "Ray" Uhlig. Jane received her Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. Jane then married James and they moved to Cody, WY and then to Bakersfield, CA where her daughter was born. She eventually moved to Findlay, where she took a job as the chemistry, biology, and physics teacher at Arlington High School, and she remained there for over 20 years. Jane took great pride in helping her Arlington students understand the sciences and in hearing back from her students who would let her know how well prepared they were for their college education. Mrs. Sutton enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling and spending time at her home in Hilton Head, SC. Jane was also an artist and enjoyed oil painting. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Maple Grove Cemetery.
