Anthony M. Weyel, one of the best known residents of the Monongahela valley, dropped dead about 10 o'clock at the county home where he had been for the past two weeks. He was aged 88 years.

A complication of ailments caused the aged man's demise and he had been ailing for several months. He went to the county home upon his own request and had previously made his home with his daughter, Mrs. John Evans of McClure Street, Dravosburg.

Mr. Weyel had resided in Dravosburg for 42 years and for a long time was employed as a coal miner in the Risher mines. His wife died 22 years ago.

Besides Mrs. Evans, with whom he had been residing for 11 years, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Peter Clintner, Dravosburg; Ferdinand, Monongahela; John, Coal Valley; George, Dravosburg; William, Large. The funeral services will be held on Monday at the Evans home.
