Ethel Ballew, 82, of Grubbs, died Saturday, April 30, 1988, in a Newport, Arkansas hospital. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church, Ballew's Chapel.
Mrs. Ballew was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Andrew Ballew.
She is survived by one son, J.W. Ballew of Grubbs; three daughters, Minnie Beatrice McGinnis of Newport, Hazel Mae Poff of Chicago, Illinois, and Velma Jean McGinnis of Lennon, Michigan; one step-daughter, Josie Brake of California; two sisters, Bertha Brown of Napa, Calif., and Velma Jean Jones of Newport; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Ballew's Chapel Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Walter McGinnis, Joseph McGinnis, Billy McGinnis, Clarence McGinnis, Howard McGinnis, and Mark McGinnis. Burial will be in Ballews Chapel Cemetery.
