Mother of Eleven Died When an Auto Overturns
Dies in Hospital Eight Hours After Accident

Car Hits 8 ft. Dirt at Side of Road Attempting to Pass Another and Woman Is Pinned Beneath

Mrs. Barbara Wiesner, 54, of Meriden, Kan., died in a local hospital Wednesday night from a hemorrhage of the brain and internal injuries she received when her Ford car turned over, three miles north of North Topeka on the Central avenue road Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Wiesner and two children were riding to Topeka at the time of the accident. The car went into some soft dirt while trying to pass a truck going in the opposite direction. When its driver attempted to take the middle of the road again it skidded and turned completely over. A tire blowout also contributed toward causing the car to overturn, according to Mrs. Wiesner's son, Vincent, who was driving. Miss Clara Wiesner was riding in the rear seat with her mother.

Mrs. Wiesner was taken out of the back seat unconscious. An X-ray, taken at the hospital failed to reveal any broken bones. She complained of severe pains in her breast and neck. She died eight hours after the accident. Her children escaped with a few bruises,

Mrs. Wiesner was the wife of Jacob Wiesner, who had operated a milk depot at Meriden for eighteen years.

Besides her husband, she is survived eleven children, Mrs. J. E. McGarity, Meriden, Mrs. George Fritton, Tecumseh, Isidore Weisner, Topeka, Joseph Weisner, St. Louis. Mo., Sister Liliosa, Peoria, Ill., Leo Weisner, Pittsburg. Kan., Clara Wiesner, Vincent Wiesner, Matilda Wiesner Florence Wiesner and Frances Wiesner, all of Meriden.

The funeral will be held from St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 10 o'clock Saturday morning. The body will lie in state at the home of bet son, Isidore A. Wiesner, 918 West Fifth street. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
