Peter Kosch Semo, 83, of Youngstown, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at home. Born Dec. 27, 1927, in Portage, he was a son of the late John Kosch Semo Sr. and Mary (Miko) Semo. He retired from Westinghouse Electric as a nuclear power plant worker, and was a former district supervisor of Household Finance and a former manager for GE Homemakers. Mr. Semo was a World War II veteran, having served in the Merchant Marine, and a Korean War veteran, having served in the Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Derry American Legion and the Tennessee Squire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Semo Sr. and John Semo Jr.; and three sisters, Anne Robertson, Helen Walsh and Margaret Bilo. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol (Forney) Semo; five children, William C. Semo and Rebecca J. Semo, both at home, Peter J. Semo and his wife, Jessica, of Lincoln, Neb., Mark J. Semo, of Derry, and Janel Pastor and her husband, Ron, of Greensburg; and a sister, Mary Cronauer, of Pittsburgh. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements by FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice .
