Jerry C. Aurigema, 85, of Manchester died Saturday May 6, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Mineola, NY, he resided in Lindenhurst, Long Island for 32 years before moving to Manchester 25 years ago. He served in the Navy during the Korea Conflict from 1951-55. He was a 30 year member of Heavy Road & Highway Construction, Laborers’ Local Union 1298, Hempstead, NY, before retiring in 1988. He then enjoyed spending his time at the RT#70 Flea Market as a vendor for many years. He is predeceased by his wife Anna V. in 1998. He is survived by his 3 children, Linda Blankenhorn & husband Brian of Batavia, NY, Steven M. & wife Maria of Lindenhurst, NY and Jerry C. II of Sherrill, NY and brother Philip Anthony of Milledgeville, GA, 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation is Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Service is Tuesday 10 AM at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
