Aloisia M. Thompson, 80, of Terre Haute passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in her residence. She was born September 23, 1936 in Dillingen, Germany to Anton Barnsteiner and Maria Staringer Barnsteiner. Aloisia was retired from Sony/DADC.
Survivors include her brothers, Anton Barnsteiner and Hermann Staringer; sisters, Marianne Schmidt, Paula Kirchhoff, and Marie Mauritz; sisters-in-law, Delores "Tootsie" Utz and her husband Steve and Easter Thompson; nephews, Alex Thompson, Allen Thompson, Mark Thompson, and John Thompson; and nieces, Annette Thompson, Angie Glasgow, Jessica McClain, Karen Tilghman, and Terri Gennaro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph W. Thompson and her parents.
Aloisia was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. She had a passion for gardening and the outdoors. Hospice of the Wabash Valley was a blessing to the family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Joseph Feltz officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be prior to services from 9:00 - 11:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, 605 South 25th Street.
