Birth/Baptism record: The priest wrote, Born on 5 Feb 1856 and Baptized on 3 of the same month and year. I assume he meant born on the 3rd and baptized on the 5th.

Maternal grandparents, Umbelina Rosa & Victorino Jose Pereira

Mariana and Joao Oliveira are buried in St Peters cemetery Puuiki Maui Left Sao Miguel in 1882 Went to Kauai then Maui where they became parents of Mary Cabral, Manuel Oliveira, Joaquina Torres, Joseph Sr and John Jr. Unverified Family oral history says Joao disliked the whips of the Kauai Sugar field plantation Lunas and that he grabbed the whip of one of the lunas and pulled the luna off his horse, hence he had to escape punishment on Kauai by going to Hana Maui.
