Victim of the General Slocum Disaster - age 14 years death cert #3192

I was looking at find a grave and found that My great grandfathers grave was added along with my great grand mothers .
the relevant facts concern Caroline Weber memorial 112198861
Louis Weber 112198895
Therese Weber Penzel 1121988734
Rose Muller 17934464
Edward Muller 17954113
Helene Muller 17954251
Irene Muller 17954428
Hermine Muller 17954304
I am Howard Weber great grandson of Louis Weber and Caroline Weber.
Louis was the brother of Hermine and Therese. You indeed have the relationship right of the Mullers .
The 4 children were children of Edward Muller senior and Hermine.
You might note on the bottom of that grave in the stone it is engraved Penzel and Muller . Edward Muller and Ludwig Penzel were partners in a musical instrument company in 1904 . In deed at that time it was located at Cooper Wquare and the Bowery. My great grandfather worked for the company as well.
The story you mention regarding Therese's death is also correct which is why she died in Manhattan rather than the Bronx. ( I would be curious where you found that information as I am always looking for lost relatives ).
As time went on Mr. Penzel and Mr Muller went on and remarried and had 2nd families . ( I have actually been in touch with some of Mr. Muellers descendants)
In the early 1920s the grave was sold to my great grandfather Louis which explains why he and Caroline are buried there.
The Trudels on the other side of the tombstone 131305504 and 131305435 are some how related to the Webers as the Ehe family are cousins of Louis Weber.
If apppropriate please add the sibling relationship amongst the 3 Webers.
As a point of interest my grandfather Louis Jr born 1896 died 1940 would have of course been just the right age to go on the Slocum. Family folklore has it he either missed the boat or was a bad boy and punished and not permitted to attend the boat ride. I guess to say except for that chance of fate I would not be here.

Thank you for reading my story. and thank you for helping to keep the memory of this tragedy alive
