Tamara L. Murray, 46, Spearfish, died Sunday, December 31, 2006 at Rapid City Regional Hospital after a short illness.

Tamara Lea Rear was born to Lester and Sharon Rear on April 22, 1960 in Watertown, SD. Her family moved to the Black Hills in 1972. She attended school at Deadwood Elementary and Lead High School. She then moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she resided for 17 years. Tamara moved back to Spearfish in 1994. She was married to James Murray in 1996. Tamara enjoyed reading, watching movies, camping and throwing darts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She took great pride in decorating and taking care of her home.

Those she shared her wonderful life include her husband, James Murray; two daughters, Shana (Nathan) Loup and Jessica Murray; one son, Corey Rider all of Spearfish; her mother, Sharon (Dennis) Coyle, Sturgis, SD; four grandsons, Rylan, Layne, Kadyn and Layton, all of Spearfish, SD; four brothers, Eugene (Corrine) Rear, Whitewood, SD; Kevin Rear, Sioux Falls, SD; Jeffrey (Paula) Rear, Spearfish, SD; and Kelly (Amber) Rear, Coleman, SD; two stepbrothers, Francis (Jane) Coyle, Cleveland, OH and Mike (Cindy) Coyle, Rapid City, SD; two step sisters, Wanda (Jim) Nelson, Belle Fourche, SD; and Arba Roth, Rapid City, SD; numerous cousins.

Tamara was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, her father, Lester Rear, her husband Michael Rider, and her brother, Lonnie Rear.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Thursday, January 4th at the Aldinger Funeral Home in Spearfish. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 5, 2007 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Spearfish with Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis, SD.
