M. A. Nethken, 59, a former employee of the Ledger composing room for 29 years, died yesterday at the Colorado Springs hospital, after a long illness.
Mr. Nethken was formerly a long-time resident of Columbus. He entered the hospital three years ago.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. M. A. Nethken, three daughters, Mrs. Roy Christianson, Mrs. Fernon Gill, both of Mobile, and Miss Ruth Nethken, and a son, Alfred Jr., both of Columbus.

Funeral for Meschack Alfred Nethken, 55, was held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Striffler mortuary chapel. The Rev. Lee Knowles conducted the service. Burial was in Riverdale cemetery.
Mr. Nethken, a former employe of the Ledger-Enquirer, died Tuesday at a hospital in Colorado Springs, Col. He was a veteran of World War I. per: Lois Goodin Hottinger
