Daughter of Carl Adolf Denis Brandt and his 1st wife Karen Nielsdatter. She was the 1st wife of Rev.Pedar Kjolhede. They married Oct. 19, 1880 in Muskegum Co., Michigan. Together they had three children, Marie, Axel and Theodore. Death notice in the Newell, Ia newspaper noted she had been an invalid for a number of years. Source of other information: Letter penned by her half brother Carl Christian Emil Brandt to her widower and his children Sept.8, 1902. Three other siblings are noted in the letter, Niels Pedar, Marie and Cecelia. The translated letter was published in Church and Life magazine.
