MARTIN K. ARCHULETA Martin K. Archuleta 92, of Oroville, CA passed away on May 21, 2017. "Louie" was born on September 18, 1924, one of 10 surviving children born to Martin and Katie Archuleta in Feather Falls, CA. Louie was raised in Feather Falls and graduated from Oroville High School. He lived in Oroville and worked in the local lumber industry through the 1950's. In 1960's he joined the Operating Engineers working for fifty years. He was an Elder Member of the Mooretown Rancheria. Louie loved history and reading historical books about trains, people and places. Louie is preceded in death by brothers Delmas and Elmer Archuleta, sisters Merle Jackson, Rose Gilbert, Violet Stevens, Mamie Brown, and Opal Archuleta. He is also preceded in death by his first wife Beth Walker. They had five children together. He is survived by his wife Gertrude of 17 years and his faithful dog Taco Bell, brother Donald Archuleta and sister Jean Short of Oroville, daughter Linda Edwards and Sons, Gary, Darrel, Michael and Dennis Archuleta, all of Oroville. 11 grandchildren, 22 great -grandchildren, many great -great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Feather Falls Cemetery. Following Graveside Service, there will be a reception at the log cabin at Mooretown Rancheria. Scheer Memorial Chapel is handling the arrangements. 530-533-5255. Funeral procession will be leaving from Scheer Memorial at 9:15 a.m.
