SISTER ELIZABETH Sister Elizabeth, well known nurse at St. Cloud hospital, died Friday at 11 a.m. after being hospitalized for a week. Funeral services will be Monday at St. Benedict's convent, St. Joseph. The office of the dead will be prayed at 8 a.m. and a solemn requiem high mass offered at 9 a.m. Rev. Patrick Riley offered a requiem high mass at the hospital this morning. Sr. Elizabeth (Bernadine Von-frehle) was born in Neuenkirchen, Germany, Sept. 19, 1877 and came to the United States in June, 1890. Five years later she entered the scholasticate at St. Benedict's convent. She was received into the novitiate Dec. 29, 1896 and professed her first religious vows July 11, 1899. All but five of Sister's 52 years in hospital work were at St. Raphael's and St. Cloud hospitals in St. Cloud. From 1906-1911 she was stationed at St. Alexius hospital at Bismark, N.D. and from 1947-1949 at the Mother house, St. Benedict's convent. Survivors are her brother and sister, Herman Vondrehle, Melrose and Mrs. Elizabeth Folmer, Sauk Centre. She was preceded in death by Sr. Emiliana OSB in March 1940.
