Sister Adelgundis, Former Dean, Dies On Wednesday, May 1, a solemn Requiem Mass and burial services were held for Sister Adelgundis, O.S.B., who had served for many years on the faculty at the College of St. Benedict. Sister died of a heart ailment on Sunday, April 28. Born in Freeport on February 9, 1879, Sister made her religious profession in 1899. During her 47 years as a nun, she had devoted herself almost exclusively to education. She received her Master's degree from the Catholic University in 1915. At one time head of the department of English at the College of St. Ben-edict, Sister was for several years principal of Cathedral High school, St. Cloud. From 1928-32 she was dean of the college. For . the last several years, she had been assistant librarian. She is survived by two sisters and one brother: Mrs. Mary Al-bers, St. Cloud, Mrs. Henry Maas, Sandstone, and Mr. B . F. Bergmann, Minneapolis.
