A Mass of Christian burial for Florena K. ''Flo'' Connell will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. The rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Mt. Scott Funeral Home.

Mrs. Connell died of a heart attack Wednesday in her Southeast Portland home at the age of 63. She was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Garden City, Kan.

She married William G. Connell on Sept. 27, 1947.

She had lived in the Portland area for the past 40 years. Mrs. Connell worked in the nutrition services department at Harriet Tubman Middle School for 10 years until her retirement about two years ago. She previously had been a seamstress for Johnson Drapery Co. for 20 years. Mrs. Connell was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.

Survivors besides her husband include her daughters, Diane M. Thurston and Glenda A. Hornbeck, both of Portland; sisters, Mary Sack of Brighton, Colo., and Alvora Duncan of Durant, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Private interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
