Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Mason Funeral Home for Jens Mikkelsen, 69, who died Friday morning at the Greene County Hospital in Jefferson. Marvin Jedele officiated and Mrs. Donald Crane was organist. She accompanied Pauline and Larry Ehlers in duet numbers.
Casketbearers were Alvin Mikkelsen, Leland Mikkelsen, Donald Mikkelsen, Wilson Mikkelsen, Marvin Mikkelsen and Donald Andersen. Burial was in the Coon Rapids Cemetery.
Mr. Mikkelsen was in the poultry and produce business in Coon Rapids for many years and was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses for over 30 years.
He is survived by his widow, Estrid; two daughters, Darlene of Honduras and Mrs. LaVonne Rungee of Coon Rapids; one granddaughter; four brothers, Mike of Coon Rapids, Ed of Dedham, Pete of Elk Horn and Tom of Evansville, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Nissen of Harlan and Mrs. Katie Andersen of Audubon.
