Obituary From "Ottumwa Post," June 20, 2017:

OTTUMWA-Elizabeth Irene Siegrist, 106, formerly of 703 Riverside Lane and 102 W. Finley, died at 6 p.m. June 18, 2017 at Vista Woods Care Center.

She was born July 17, 1910 in Albia to William and Florence Harris Bainbridge. On September 23, 1928 she married Dean Siegrist and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1976.

A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, Irene was an Avon sales representative for 23 years and had worked in several ready to wear stores. She had been a member of Ottumwa Regional Health Center Auxiliary.

Irene is survived by a son, Bill (Betty) Siegrist of Muscatine; five grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Davis; three brothers, John, Lee and Fred Bainbridge and a sister, Edith Butler.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Thursday with the family present one hour prior to the service.
