Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold, aged 70 years, died at the family home, 318 North Spring street, at 4:30 o'clock Wednesday morning.

Deceased was born in Germany, November 17, 1836, and came to America in 1852. After a short stay here she went to Milwaukee, Wis., where she married John C. Arnold in 1856. In 1859 the couple returned to Belleville.

Deceased leaves her husband and the following children:

Mrs. Louise Hafner, St. Louis, Mo.
Mrs. Emma Heuser, Belleville, Ill.
Fred Arnold, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Augusta Abott, St. Louis, Mo.
Carl Arnold, Belleville, Ill.
Herman Arnold, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Bertha Ernst, Belleville, Ill.

She also leaves 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and her sisters:

[Christina] Mrs. Otto Kaysing, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. John Lowell, St. Louis, Mo.

She was a member of Teutonia and Elvira Lodges, U. O. T. B. The funeral takes place at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
