OBITUARY Mrs. G. Zarbock Succumbs Friday After Long Illness The long illness and suffering of Mrs. Gustave Zarbock was terminated by death at 5:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. The end came as a relief after suffering from rheumatism for seventeen years, which crippled her and rendered her a helpless invalid. During this time she bore her burden patiently and uncomplainingly. A week previous to her demise she suffered an attack of influenza. The deceased, Helena Schleusner was born in West Prussia, Germany on the 23rd day of August, 1874. At the age of one year she came with her parents, sisters and brothers to America. The family lived at Cleveland, Ohio, for one year and came to Springfield in 1876. Here Mrs. Zarbock grew to womanhood and on July 16, 1896 she was united in marriage to Gustave Zarbock. Following their marriage they lived in Johnsonville Township for twelve years. They also lived in Sundown and Brookville Townships and in recent years in Burnstown Township. Six children, one son and five daughters were born to them. They are Robert, Johanna and Viola at home, Mrs. Otto Schultz and Mrs. Carl Rose of Springfield. One daughter passed away in infancy. Her husband, eight Grandchildren and the following sisters and brothers also survive her: Mrs. Henry Schwartz of Sykeston. North Dakota; Mrs. Albert Schultz and Mrs. Julius Bauch of Springfield; Mrs. Fred Nelson, Mankato; Mrs. Louis Lewis of Waseca, Otto of Stillwater; Louis of Mahnomen; Julius and Fred of Springfield. William and Max Von Fischer officiated at the service. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
