Martha was born May 22, 1931, in Abilene, to Fletcher and Lois (Anderson) Willis. She lived over sixty years in Fort Worth and Benbrook, working at several businesses, including Swift, Convair, and Fort Worth National Bank, and for many years as an administrative assistant at the National Trust for Historic Preservation. A longtime member of Westcliffe United Methodist Church, she embraced the command to love one another, and generously shared her spirit with family, friends, and strangers alike. An avid reader and learner throughout her life, she enjoyed travel, attending the theater and symphony, and Fort Worth's many museums. She was deeply loved by and preceded in death by her husband, Florren Mielke; her brother, Owen Willis; and her daughter-in-law Lea Anne Dean.
Martha is loved and remembered by her daughter, Sharon Mielke-Himali; son-in-law, Nripendra Himali; granddaughter, Anjali Himali ; son, Stephen Mielke; daughter-in-law, Colleen Forrest; grandson, Owen Mielke ; sister, Sandra Mason; brother-in-law, Fred Mason ; brother, George Willis ; and many beloved nephews, nieces, and friends.
