Patricia was born on March 18, 1936, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Francis and Madeline (Koerperich) Lahey.
Patricia sadly began her early years with the loss of her mother, whom she would never truly know. Thankfully, her father Francis would meet Valeria (Smith) Lahey and she would joyfully raise Patricia as her own. Patricia was united in marriage to Lester Joseph Brimeyer, on June 26, 1954, at St. Joseph Church in Rickardsville. They raised their family together on the farm in Rickardsville. Lester was sadly called home on March 9, 1995. She would later find love again and marry John "Jack" McCann, but sadly he too would be called home ahead of her. Patricia was primarily a housewife, but she also took great pride in her 20 year career as a CNA, working primarily within private homes. Patricia was a very talented seamstress who could easily manifest magic at her fingertips with the hum of her machine under her foot. Patricia also enjoyed gardening and would spend countless hours in the kitchen canning each years harvest. Some of Patricia's final favorite ways to spend her days included creating beautiful wedding cakes and impromptu shopping therapy trips.
Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her children, Susan (Merlin) Clemen, Mary (Duane) Heacock, Judy (Ken) Samek, Michael (Amelia) Brimeyer, Dubuque, Richard Brimeyer, Joanne (Tom) Harper, Carol Peters, Dennis (Regina) Brimeyer, and Denise (Dave) Heiderscheit, her 16 grandchildren; her 5 great-grandchildren; her sister, Darlene (Willis) Schmitt, and her sister-in-law, Dorothy (Donald) Wolf.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Brimeyer; and a brother Eugene Lahey.
