Earl Ray Roberts

Earl Ray Roberts, age 84 of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Huntland on October 25, 1932 to the late Floyd Ray and Mary Elizabeth Roberts. Earl served in the United States Army before working as an electrician and plumber. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent for over twenty years. He enjoyed serving the people at his church, helping people in the community, and spending time with his grandchildren telling stories. Earl will be remembered for being loving, honest, dependable, and a hard worker. In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Sue Roberts; brothers, William Roberts, James Roberts, and Morgan Roberts; wife, Wanda Jean Roberts; and stepson, Larry Woods. He is survived by his children, Kenneth and Kathy Roberts, Vicki and Mark Martin, and Aneva and Gene Eakes; grandchildren, Chris, Stacey, Keith, Katrina, Jenny, and Melissa; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church in Estill Springs. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev.
