Mrs. Winker was born in New Minden, Ill., on September 19, 1862, a daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline Backs, nee Brinkman, and married William Winker in Belleville on May 27, 1886. Her husband died on April 19, 1920.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday from Zion Lutheran Church to the Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Rev. C. Thomas Spitz, pastor, will officiate. Friends may call at Gundlach and Company Funeral Home after 2:30 Wednesday, and until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be taken to church.
