Charles Fredrick Parker, age 74, of Maumee, died Saturday, August 6, 2005, in his home. Mr. Parker was born in Springfield Township, OH, on June 26, 1931, to Charles H. and Louise (Stein) Parker. He was employed at Sun Oil Company for 39 years retiring in 1988, and continued consulting work for Sun Oil Co. and BP Oil Co. for many projects and turnarounds throughout the country. From 1992 to 2004 he worked for C&W Tank Cleaning Co. Charles was a firefighter for the Maumee Fire Department for 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant. An Army veteran, Mr. Parker's memberships included Maumee United Methodist Church, Masonic Northern Light Lodge and Indian Hill Boat Club, where he served as Commodore in 1984 and 1999. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; two daughters; two sons; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and his beloved dog, Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sister, Carl, Ernest, Norm, Margaret, William and Robert.
