Gerald J. Fichtel, Jr., 35, of Bloomingdale, formerly of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, Illinois. He was born May 18, 1971 in Aurora.
Survivors include his father, Gerald (Leslie) Fichtel, Sr. of Anchorage, Alaska; his mother, Peggy Fichtel of Eugene, Oregon; his paternal grandmother, Charlotte M. Fichtel of Aurora; his sister, Jessica Anne Fichtel of Eugene; his half-brother, Larry Bumbar of Oregon City, Oregon; four nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ralph J. Fichtel; and by his maternal grandparents, Alex and Genevieve Bumbar.
