Daughter of Rev. Clarence Augustus VINCENT, and Lucy S. (Hall) VINCENT. Her father was a Free Baptist minister in his early years, educated at Oberlin College, OH and pursued theological studies at Yale and Oberlin, ordained in 1888. He continued ministry until retirement. In 1922, he and his wife went on a preaching/teaching tour of Europe for two months. He d. in 1943 in Florida.
