Dr. Ella Hutzler Oppenheimer, a pioneer in the field of pediatric pathology and staff member at the John Hopkins medical institutions for more than 50 years, died in her sleep early yesterday (January 13, 1981) at here home in Pikesville. Dr. Oppenheimer, 83, was Mrs. Henry S. Miller in private life.∼Educated Goucher College (A.B., 1918); Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (M.D., 1924). Associate Professor of Pathology at Johns Hopkins. She collaborated with Mary Ellen Avery on studies of hyaline membrane disease.
