Services for Barbara Ann Frerich, 74, of Ben Wheeler, are scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Holly Springs United Methodist Church in Martins Mill, with Rev. Susan Smith and Rev. Roland Alsobrook officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, TX.
Mrs. Frerich passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, in Canton. She was born October 13, 1942 in Dallas to Charles Boyd and Roselyn Shanks McKay.
Barbara graduated from Bryan Adams High School. She raised her family in Garland. Barbara and Allan would have been married 50 years in August. She and Allan retired to Ben Wheeler in 1997. She was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Frerich is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Roselyn McKay. Barbara is survived by her husband, Allan of Ben Wheeler; two sons and their wives: Rocky and Kim Garner of Garland, Stoney and Stacy Garner of Martins Mill; daughter and her husband, Lisa and Buddy Varnell of Chandler; six grandchildren: Tyler Shannon and wife, Shelby, Kelsie Garner, Kandice Garner, Kodie Garner, Peyton Garner, and Pierson Garner; two great-grandchildren: Lexie Smith and Mollie Shannon; sister, Rhoda Sawan of Sachse; nieces, nephews and other relatives and hundreds of kids in Garland who knew her as "Mom."
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 3939 FM 1653, Martins Mill, TX 75754
