THE GETTYSBURG TIMES July 19, 1965

Scott Walter Swisher, 54, Fairfield R1, died Saturday afternoon at 5:50 in the Warner Hospital after an illness of six months.
A native of Greencastle, and a son of the late Luther and Carey Ketterman Swisher, he was a grinder operator at the Landis Machine Co, Waynesboro.
Surviving are his widow, the former Mildred Emory, and eight children, Mrs. Glenn Smith, Fairfield R2, Mrs. Stanley Crilley , Waynesboro R4; Mrs. John A Harbaugh, Fairfield R1, and Doris Ann, Clifford D., Marvin L., Gary W., and Dean Swisher, all at home.
Also surviving are one grandchild and these 10 brothers and sisters; George and Denton, both of
Fairfield R1; Ray, Gettysburg R3; Calvin, Wisconsin; Richard, Emmitsburg R1; Donald, Wisconsin;
Mrs. Lawrence Sanders, Mrs. LeRoy Harbaugh and Mrs. Calvin Sanders, all of Fairfield R1, and
Mrs. Walter Kiessling, Fairfield.
Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Wilson Funeral Home, Fairfield, with
Rev. James Lesher officiating. Interment in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
