A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 1, at Martin & Castille - Downtown location, Lafayette, La., for Steven Kelly Cyrus, 74, who died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family, after a difficult, yet short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly H. Cyrus and Jenny and Jay Payne; and one grandson, Korey Bowen. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Albans High School and a 1969 graduate from University of Southwestern Louisiana in accounting. He was the owner of SKC Municipal Construction and part owner and CFO of Control Products of Louisiana. He was an avid lover of hunting, fishing, traveling, cooking and entertaining. Surviving: children, Kelly C. Magnon and her husband, Stephen, Jennifer Cyrus and her partner, Jevon Harmon, David Cyrus and fiance', Maria Alvarez, and Kathryn Cyrus; sisters, Delilah DeSouza, Ginger Rohrberger and her husband, Mark, and Lisa Call; brothers, Mike Cyrus and Jon Cyrus and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Spencer Magnon and his wife, Julia, Michael Magnon, Dylan Meaux, Gabriel Meaux and Natalie Cyrus; one great-grandchild, Harper Cyrus Magnon.
